Custom Build Overview (11.06.2019) - Motobecane Fly Titanium 29"

General Overview
Today's hot topic is this beautiful Motobecane Fly Titanium 29" that was recently brought to the shop for a custom build! We were asked to build up this bicycle from the frame, as a capable, but not overly-built mountain bike, ready to shred Kickapoo, all without breaking the bank. The process of building up this bicycle from the frame began with some back-and-forth with the customer. Questions like - How are you going to use the bike? What kind of riding do you do? What do you really need out of your bike? - became the first steps towards getting an idea of what the customer desired. These questions are important considerations one need ask themselves when building and specifically picking parts for a bicycle. The best feeling bike come from one that fits what you require physically (e.g. the geometry), and in what fits your riding style or riding preferences. In this instance, the answer to these questions manifested as a low-travel-suspension, 1x10 speed, mechanical disc brake trail shredder! Riding it around the neighborhood it feels sharp, and precise, yet confident and certain in its path. It's as at home on the road with the fork locked out, as it is shredding down some bumpy paths with 100mm of cushiony travel keeping things plush and predictable.
