Alpine Designs - XC-3.5 (SOLD)

This alpine designs frame came to use for reuse! We decided to build it up again in order to get it back out on the road for a second life! This steel frame features a 1 1/8" Threadless Steel Salsa fork with I.S. Disc tabs for future upgrade-ability. This bike has been built up as a barebones city commuter, with fatter 26" tires for supple riding through all urban conditions. The 1x7 drivetrain that has been installed on this bicycle is combined with an ultra-small front chainring. This gives a very very low gear ratio, for getting around in less favorable conditions, through snow, slush and rain. This low gear ratio combined with larger 26" tires makes for a supple, and grippy, yet capable ride to get you around town!

-Friction Shifter running the 1x7 drivetrain, for a simple yet effective system, which is infallible in wet and otherwise poor cycling conditions.
-Cantilever brakes front and rear, creating more clearance while providing quite phenomenal stopping power when paired with Kool Stops's salmon all weather compound brake pads.
